Guide To Become An Author
Have your manuscript all finished? Congratulations! You completed the most arduous part of the process and have your vision on paper. Now it's time to get you to the finish line and get your book on the shelf! Then you can become an author.
The following is a quick checklist with the key steps involved with the self-publishing procedure.
Get professional editing and proofreading.
- Have any illustrations, charts, and/or pics created (at least 300 dpi resolution for print).
Format your manuscript's interior and exterior - so that it is suitable for both print-on-demand and eBook variations.
Design your book cover (at least for an eBook version)
- Create an author bio to include in the publication and author's pages (Amazon, Goodreads etc.), as well as on your personal website.
Create an author website or a website for your book.
Create a book blurb and brief description of your book's contents.
Copyright your work to have it protected, including with your own ISBN (optional)
Set up your accounts on the proper distribution channels (Amazon Kindle, Kobo, B&N Nook, CreateSpace etc.).
- Record your story as an Audiobook.
